Each year the state legislature determines the amount of tax credits available for award to eligible businesses. Companies authorized to do business in Pennsylvania who are subject to one or more of the determined taxes may apply for the EITC program.

Eligible EITC businesses may receive a tax credit equal to 90% of the contribution made if the business agrees to provide the same amount of contribution to the library for two consecutive years. A one-time donation approves the business for a tax credit equal to 75% of the contribution. The EITC program gives the business community a way to be directly involved in education.
